Cooling off in Minot

Hello!
Well this week was awesome!:)
Earlier this week, We had dinner with a couple here named the Nelson's. Oddly enough, John Nelson's Great Grandpa and My Great Grandpa are Brothers. We are both from the line of Milo Andrus and Jane Munday. Cool right? It is so cool, I feel like I have family out here:) They also named their new parakeets after us, Andrus & Clegg :) Cool names right? Over all that was just an awesome night! Dad- will you look into the Giant Family Reunion thing they do at Milo's Home in SLC every year for me?

We have Rosalind back on date now, she is on date for Sept. 12. We are very excited! We finally got her to church! We tried absolutely everything we could to get her there and finally something worked out! I was so glad we got to bring her. we ended up in the other ward that meets at 3pm but hey, Church is Church so whatever it takes right?
Also when we put her on date She told us she was still drinking Coffee so I recommitted her so Live the word of wisdom. When we were leaving the nursing home, I just told a nurse about what Rosalind was trying to stop coffee, and she just looked at me and said  ' Rosalind doesn't drink Coffee'..... ahah that was really awkward. I just Said " Great, ahah have an awesome day" and then we left....what the heck Rosalind? haha

We met another family, the Tobey's. They are awesome we showed up and they all had notebooks and pens and a paper full of questions for us. We answered all their questions and by the end Tiffani ( the mom) was in tears. We asked them to be baptized and she agreed to October 5th. We invited them to church and they said that they will come. But yesterday she texted and told us that her husband didn't want them to attend our church so that they should shop around a few other churches first... So basically we need to teach the Husband and then hopefully we can help him feel the spirit.. Their family is so Golden, I really hope that we can help them find Christ.

Anyways, I hope you all had a fantastic week!:) I love  you all :)

Love, Tay ( Sister A)

TAKING OVER MINOT?

Hello All!

This last week was crazy! Sister Clegg was out of Minot for most of the week because she has other responsibilities as a Sister Training Leader now. I was left here to run the show. The beginning of the week was with Sisters Ramirez ( new missionary) and Davis ( old missionary). They were so fun to work with and we had fun. Sister Davis and I are like two peas in a pod and meeting her was a tender mercy without a doubt. It is good to have a friend out here.

The next couple days Sister Clegg was in Rugby, about an hour away with Sister Ramirez, while Sister Davis and I were running Minot! It was an awesome exchange and I learned so much from Sister Davis and about being confident in our message. We did really well with our lessons and I hope I can continue to learn from what she taught me!

Later in the week we exchanged with the Sisters in Williston! I was here in Minot with Sister Lewis. She is from Louisiana and is really awesome! One of the sweetest sisters I have ever met! I learned a lot about being sincere when I was serving with her We also stopped by and took pictures by the sunflowers finally! :):)

We are working Hard and trying our best. No effort is wasted:)

We got to serve our investigator Rosalind on her Birthday and She was so happy! She got to go back to her apartment for the day and I have never seen her so happy before! It was amazing to see her smiling so much! I have truly grown to love the people here in Minot...Which is awesome but sucks....Loving People hurts. I cant wait to go to new places but I love the people here... Its bittersweet and I don't even have to leave yet.

So all in all, This week I have grown as a missionary more than the first 6 weeks combined. I cant wait to learn more, and Come Even Closer To Christ:) I Love you all. I don't know everything or really anything about this gospel, but I know that it is real, and that God loves us. That is something I cant ever deny. Nothing else really matters if we can't access Christ Atonement:)

Love you!!!

I am still to Green to do that right?

Hello!

Well, It is now Transfer Two! We are still in Minot and we are excited to have a few more weeks to work with the wonderful people here in this City. We Know that Rosalind will most likely be moving and we are sad about that because she is such a sweet lady. I have grown to love her so much and  I am excited to meet with her a few more times until she goes away to Montana. The rest of our investigators are out of town.

We Had SO MANY meetings this week and although it get old to sit in meeting all day, I am grateful for the chance to BE taught rather than TO TEACH. We are learning a lot in our district and I am grateful for all of their example to me. Sister Clegg is actually the new Sister Training Leader for this Transfer so today she will go to a meeting in Bismarck with the Zone Leaders. That means, that I will be the " Senior Companion" in a trio for today and tomorrow...That is crazy. I am still to Green to do that right?

This last week we decided to Referral Tract rather than just normal tracting. It was pretty amusing. People give  you funny responses when you ask if they know anyone else who would like to talk to us rather than us trying to talk to them as an individual. I think that they act weird because they are jealous that I don't ask them about if they want to learn about it. But yeah, that was probably my highlight this week. We had s'mores before that tracting session so...I was happier than usual:)

Well I learned this week about the importance of the Book of Mormon. that by knowing that the Book of Mormon is true than everything else we teach must be true. Sister Clegg and  I talked about how our religion relies too much faith to be false. If our church was not true it would have crumbled years ago. I loved a quote by Elder Jeffery R. Holland:
" No wicked man could write a book like this, and no good man would. Unless it were true, and he was commanded by God to do so."

Unfortunately, I am beginning to grow attached to Minot. I never thought I could like somewhere like this.

well I love and miss you all!! Keep up the good work at home:) I appreciate all the love and letters!

Love, Sister A
---2 months down.....whose counting:)
