Christmas in July!

Hey
wow, i love the flowers! they are so pretty! Man, i am so excited to go 4 wheeling with dad again!:)
We are doing well. My letter i just sent talks about our investigators..which is kind of sad this week but yeah, have fun with that
Sister Clegg isnt sick anymore but we are still getting back into the groove of things, Its amazing how that threw our whole month off. but thankfully next week is when transfer 2 begins so we will be good from the get-go.

I have realized alot this week but all is well. God is mindful and we are his servants. He will protect.

I hope you all know that is our ticket home, that by accessing the atonement everyday in our lives we will be able to ultimately become
our potential. everyone should be able to know that there is a way:)

I love you all!!!

So I hope all is well at home!!!:)

Basically this week has just been embarrassing.....haha we actually went to a dinner apt. and we knocked on the door and then a voice inside was like "come in!" so we went
in. We proceeded to take off our shoes and put our bags down. When I looked up this room full of people were just staring at us, so we were staring back at them. Finally a man said  "So...uh can i help you with something?"
"oh.,....uhh....well....Isnt this the Fiests?"
"oh, nope"
OH okay well haha we will just be going now...thanks....
I swear i could have drowned in all the awkward in the room. but i am sure that they got a good laugh out of it:)

As far as our work. It has been a good but slow week, we have alot of work to do with our investigator, and hopefully we can find some more people to teach, it has been few are far between lately. All in God's time right?:)

We actually celebrated Christmas in July because I always sing Christmas Songs and Sister Clegg wont be here in December so that was fun:) Thank you for the package mom to be the present under the tree;)

Well I apologize for the short report, it will hopefully be amazing next week:) I love you all:)

New President and Thunderstoms

Hello All
So this last week we finally met President Hess. Apparently everyone says he is 'SO GREEN' but I cant tell...probably because i am still a greenie....shame.

He is great! He is from Malad ID, and he loves Logan so we had a nice little chat about that, He and Sister Hess have amazing testimonies and are so excited to be here with us! We are all so excited to get to know them a little better.

This week we also had our exchanges, I was sent to Williston. I love It over there...
On the way there i was driving and it started to get pretty dark and we drove into a huge thunderstorm. It was insane! there was so much lightning i forgot it was night sometimes. the rain got so think at one point we had to pull over because i couldnt see the lines on the road. So other than the fact that we didnt get to bed until 12am. It was amazing, i wish we had storms like that in Utah:) i used to also think that dancing in the rain was fun, but you might technically die if you did that here..so eh, its just fun to watch!

The work in Williston was great! It was awesome to meet some new people and get to know another sister. I was with Sister Sanderson, she is such a hard worker and it was great! We knocked on one door and were talking to a lady, but then her doorbell started talking to us about how they didnt want any girl scout cookies..? haha we were just ignoring it, then sister Sanderson was like " umm is your doorbell talking to us?" and she just said yes, that is my husband, he thinks that he is funny...
But honestly i was dying, i thought it was hilarious... but in my defense it was like 10000 degrees and we had knocked so many doors so i might have been a little tired.

Other than that we haven't had too much, Sister Clegg has been pretty sick so we didn't get out too much. We had one lesson with a guy named Gilbert. He is a recent convert, and we love to teach him he has made so many changes and has a long way from where he used to be. we taught him the Plan of Salvation and we all had fun talking about the Celetial kingdom with him:)

Anyways I hope all is well with you at home!
Please share any stories you have with me, I love to learn from you all:)
Love, Sister A

LOOK TO GOD AND LIVE!

Hello:)

This week was great! I finally got to meet most of the investigators that we have out here in Minot (my-not). We met a man who is on date for baptism. His name is Godwin, We taught him about the word of wisdom. I loved it because we read over it and before we even talked about why we should not drink coffee, he said "I love my coffee." but without hesitation he said that it is a new goal to stop. I loved that we didnt even have to explain blessing or anything to him, we just said 'Okay'.
We also taught a less active who is named Damien. We were teaching him about the restoration. it was a good lesson and at the end, I just started to tell him about how I didnt always know that the Book of Mormon was true, it was just a book full of stories. then the spirit like attacked me, ahah  so i just kept telling him about when i knew that it was true. Once i finished saying what the Book of Mormon meant to me and that it was my reason, not Sister Cleggs reason, or my Mom's reason. That the Book of Mormon will never mean anything to you unless you want it to. Our testimonies are OURS for a reason. It was so cool to just have something that i could share that wasnt out of a book or manual. that even just my own experiences were something that God can use to touch someone else. I love that we can be ourselves and teach at the same time, we we dont have to be robots;)

This week was also Extremely hot. Our Apartment is like burning up, often times it will be cooler outside than in our apartment...but that is okay..i just hope that our swamp cooler decides to start working again.

I Love hearing all of the good news from home! i hope that news will continue :)

We have shared this video a few times this week. you cannot watch this video and not feel something. It is amazing! Think about all you can do because of Him:)

I love you all! I hope you all have amazing weeks and search out those who need you love and testimonies:)

4th of July

Hey everyone, I do not have lots of time today but i will try my best to fill you all in:) Welp, Weirdest thing...today at the walmart the bagger asked me if i wanted my milk in a beg. haha it took me forever to realize that she was saying 'Bag'...awkward. I didnt really feel super bright after that haha

So we have had a good week! It started out pretty slow but we were able to make tons of appointments for this coming weeks so hopefully we can get some good teaching in and we can set up some more things. We have one Lady who is on date  who is the sweetest old lady in the whole world. Her name is Rosalind, and she says the best Prayers. I love visiting her. We always have a good visit with her.

We were approved to stay out to watch the fireworks on the Fourth this year and so we did:) It was good and we saw lots of them from everyone's homes. I loved to see the fireworks. I hope you all had a great 4th of July with your families and hopefully no one blew up;)

Sister Clegg and I are probably the weirdest people ever. we are the only sisters out in Minot and we tend to feel overpowered by the elders.. so, long story short i am really excited to see some other sisters someday. But, i guess elders are cool too....

I heard about the supreme court decision to legalize same sex marriage and i LOVE the churches statement on it. If you have not read it you need to look it up now. Not only is it important to be aware but unity in our church something we should all strive for.

I know that because of this decision finding people and teaching them to come to Christ is going to get harder as sin and corruption increases around us, but as we endure on, our basic beliefs and practices are what will sustain not only our families but our individual testimonies until rest from this life arrives. Nevertheless our search for people ready and willing to come unto Christ is ever needed and continuing. Our world might just need God now, more than ever.

I hope you all know that members of our church are the ones who bring people to Christ. We as missionaries, can teach but the most powerful lessons and testimonies come from members who are willing to share 10 minutes of their life to changes someone else forever.

Please look for and help the non member and less actives and other members that are around you everyday. EVERYONE can come closer to Christ.

I love you all! God needs our help in saving his children!
